Why is it that there are streets of ryokans (small hotels) in Japan, that won't allow westerners to stay there?

It appears to be racism, although I realize that they could be unfamilar with westerners and find it easier to stick to people they are familar with. However, I think it is extreme racism. I say extreme, because one doesn't usually turn down the chance to do business and make money.

Haha, she should have kept her money in an offshore numbered account right after getting the profits instead of blowing it on something within her country where it can be traced:-D. If this was my husband we would both invest in prime real estate, get a slightly bigger house (yes I don't want such a huge one because so much housework is tiresome), invest some in low risk shares in both local and foreign markets - and, possibly retire early but before that go for an MBA without having to work part time. Rich oledi mar, no need stress study and work same time.

For a couple of reasons. One is because ryokans typically don't have staff who can understand languages other than Japanese, so they won't be able to serve foreigners to their standard of service. Second is because most all ryokan is built for people who have been raised in a Japanese cultural setting, thus, they won't be able to accomodate people who can't use chopsticks, can't eat raw fish, need a chair, can't handle taking baths with other people, and need various other special accomodations. So no, it's not racism.

Well there are many questions.... If you have a 4 year degree you can get a job teaching English and the company will sponsor you. Then you can look for a modeling job. If you are from the UK then you can come on a working holiday visa. There several other ways to get a visa... such as homestay... You can check my website ( http://www.japan.survival-links.com )to get more information about visas.
