Japan c:. You could always get the tattoo like you said, and who knows, by that time, you might change your mind and not want the tattoo c:.
2 :
I would donate the money, you won't regret it. and you may eventually regret the tattoo.

It's good to know that you want to help. I would donate it because $200 can do a lot. It may not seem a lot but disasters like this even pennies are useful. You don't have to spend all of that money also. If you can come up with $200 in 8 months then donate now. It's really your choice.

What is the most RELIABLE fund that is helping with Japan relief?

What is the most RELIABLE fund that is helping with Japan relief?
honestly i think some programs use it to make money off of it. Just like the Bush and Clinton program for last year for some relief. I thought to myself, "Do these greedy people who support war really trying to help the people?" I want to donate to a relief fund i can trust like if wikipedia or craigslist held a fund. Please help. Its not a lot of money im donating but i figure something is better then nothing! Also a fund where i can maybe donate old cloths and canned foods maybe? Thanks!

The most reputable is the American Red Cross: http://www.redcross.org/ The other worth considering is MercyCorps: https://www.mercycorps.org/donate/japan

I donated to Dog Bless You Foundation. They rescue dogs from shelters and train them to assist firefighters and others searching for humans in disasters all over the world. It sounded to me as a way to help both animals and people.

Do Japan really need the money?

Do Japan really need the money?
I just looked at the world rankings of how rich countries are. Japan have about 3 trillion more than us (in U.S$). Why are people giving them so much money, if they have enough anyway? Surely it'd be better to start making iodine capsules or something... Or give the money to a nation in poverty? Their wealth wasn't 'destroyed'. I'm only 17, and I know that's ridiculous... and I take it that the blind statements have some backed up evidence? I'd like to think that people aren't just donating to make themselves feel better.

Yes.

Their wealth was destroyed.
3 :
Yeah
4 :
No they don't need. Other countries are so poor that people die of hunger or poisoned water, and we give our money to a country that's full of skyscrapers and video games.
5 :
japan has multinational corporation and third world do not.

I think what it is, is that because of the high standard of life in Japan they receive more money to get back to that standard of life. Also, because of the multiple disasters happening in such a small space of time, people want to give more money. So while they may not need as much money as say Haiti did, they do need some help. I'm not 100% sure, but I think their economy wasn't at its best before the earthquake and its getting even weaker now because of it.

hopefully people are giving money to the red cross and not just japan. even if they didn't we have so much debit to china already. however, ether way its not really about who has more or I'm better then you kinda thing its more about wanting to help out in anyway possible and the best and easiest way most people in america know is to donate money. a lot of people aren't going to look into what they really can do to help and just donate and then theres also people who do it for image. ether way, cut em all slack. they are doin the best they can.

If you want to buy something in Japan, You have to buy it in Yen, unless you can get on A U.S. military base like the one in Yokosuka where I live. The Yen rate is about 88Yen to one dollar right now.

Dollars to yen, you lose money.

1 yen is about 0.010212 U.S. dollars. Google has a money converter where you can convert Yen to Dollar or Dollar to Yen. You lose money.

Technically you always lose money when you convert because they take a certain percentage when they change it for you.
