I have no idea how much they would make...but i'm sure it would be enough to live on and have a house/apartment! So good luck if that's the job you're going for!

How much does a hairdresser earn in Japan?

How much does a hairdresser earn in Japan?
I'm hoping to move to Japan soon (within the next couple years at least) and I wanted to know if it would be worth my time and money to go to a class on hairdressing before I leave. I plan on living in Tokyo and I've heard it's a rather expensive place to live and I just want to make sure I'll be making enough money to at least get my start there. Also would a hairdressing license earned in America even be valid in Japan?

1- You would have to find a salon willing to hire you to provide a work visa. 2- You would have to have rather fluent Japanese to do #1. 3- You're going to have a hard time with #1 because, well, the Japanese clients aren't necessarily going to feel comfortable with you. At least that is going to be the perception of any employer. 4- All of the above means that even finding a job will be difficult, which will have a very negative impact on your ability to make a living. 5- My niece, Japanese, won't be in competition for your job. She's into the make-up and hair styling business. No cutting. I told her when she went to school for this she would end up working at McDonalds. I was wrong. She now works at Krispy Kream doughnuts. 6- Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? Absolutely not.

>Also would a hairdressing license earned in America even be valid in Japan? No way. If you want to work as a hairdresser in Japan, you must go to its school for 2-3 years. Then take its national exam in Japan. If you passed it, you can work as a hairdresser. >How much does a hairdresser earn in Japan? About 3M yen for 1 year.

I don't think it will happen so easily as has already been pointed out. Learning Japanese is not so easy for an adult as it is for a child and getting a visa for a non shortage area is near on impossible. Do you have a plan B?

Should I donate money to Japan?

Should I donate money to Japan?
During times of crisis, I try to donate some money. Keep in mind I DONT have a job but I want to help regardless if somebody needs my help. Does Japan have enough funds to battle this crisis or should I donate some money? Japan looks like a rich country so it's making me hesitate to donate considering the people of Haiti probably needed it a lot more

raise awareness is probably the best way you can help at this very second use your facebook, twitter, or any social networking device... I think Japan with the help of the world can get past this crisis but theres somethings you can't restore. Like the lives of thousands of people either missing or dead

It doesn't matter if the country appears to be wealthier, the people are still suffering. And Japan us actually in a great deal of debt right now just like us. They're not any better off than, say, the people of New Orleans right after Hurricane Katrina hit. Also, money is not the only thing you can donate. There is a variety of things you can send if you're short on money, you just have to ne creative. On top of everything else, I realize unemployment is tough, but the people in Japan are much worse off than yourself at the moment.

Donate. It doesn't even have to be that much. It may not seem like donating a few dollars will make a difference, but it will. Imagine if everyone just donated a few dollars. Lots of people will be donating money, they need it more than you do. These people have lost their families, their homes, everything. Even if Japan looks rich, they'll be spending TONS of money getting it back to the way it was and helping all those people who need the help. Please, just donate a few dollars. Maybe you could collect money from friends, family, and neighbors for a donation. Please donate.

How can i make money fast?

Are there any good ideas on how i can raise money for this? Btw, I live in Arizona. Im trying to go next year, if that cant work for me then two years (2011) and i need around 5,000 dollars. Not really that much but NO MORE THAN THAT, im just aiming high. im not trying to raise that much, just roughly. THANK YOU!! (arigato) ~Stephanie

Konichiwa, Maybe you could make something and sell it? Where do you want to stay in Japan? Maybe you could find a Japanese family to live with through a reputable organization or a church. Ask you Japanese teacher, he/she may have some ideas. Don't listen to people who tell you that's nearly impossible.

Make babysitting flyers using the computer and put them in the library, people's mailboxes, and grocery stores. Drum up more business and keep a notebook to schedule when you do get a customer. Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit. I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long. Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring. What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at. Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants. Check out my blog. it has tons of money making ideas, saving tips, ways to score freebies , and discounts. the link is under my profile. You can create a blog too. You can generate money just ranting about your interests

Fill out surveys online. Companies who want to know what’s on the minds of their customers are willing to pay for your opinion. Online surveys won’t make you rich, and won’t allow you to quit your day job, but you can make a little extra cash. When choosing between surveys, read the fine print. There is usually an asterisk near the "you won" part. This means you have to do something like buying stuff before you even get to talk about your prize. Don't fall into these sorts of traps, they're ridiculously difficult and not worth it. In general, the more companies you sign up with, the more survey requests you’ll receive in your email and more opportunity you’ll have to make money.
