None. To get a work visa in Japan you need a four year degree and a job offer before you get there. You would also have to take tests to get your license there. The tests are in Japanese. Also realize most Japanese women wouldn't go to a non-Japanese beautician. Most aren't comfortable going to a non-Japanese. You need native level Japanese to chat with them. And not being Japanese, you would have nothing in common with them. Tokyo is the hardest city to find work in. If a Japanese can do the job, they will always be hired first. Sorry if I seem too harsh in my answer. But that's how life is in Japan.

They say their average annual income is 2,670,000 yen. But you need Japanese license to work as a beautician in Japan.

TheCheapest told you the salary, but Carl gave you the specifics on how much YOU would make. It's not absolutely possible. But don't get your hopes up. I say that just so I know that my answer is fully correct. Maybe you COULD learn to speak Japanese fully fluently, including the reading and writing skills you would need to attend the appropriate school here. And maybe, just maybe, you could find some salon that thinks it would 'be cool' to hire a foreigner. Because if they don't want you because you have a 'cool factor', why hire you? They'll have more than enough Japanese applicants that won't come with the baggage of having the ability to make their customers feel uncomfortable because a foreigner is doing their hair. So, you have a snow ball's chance in Hades. On a hot day.

It depends. If you are not legally able to work in Japan you will make zero yen. Not going to happen. Do a search, this type of question is asked here every day.

I am planning on after college moving to japan to work as a computer engineer. How much do they make? What kind of degree do you need? What other computer jobs are good to have while there that make good money? Where are these jobs found. Please help me with this=] Living in japan is my greatest dream. What do you mean by making a living in Okinawa? You can't live in Japan without proper visa. It's not a matter of money. You must find a job. If you found a job in Okinawa, you could get working visa and live there. If you really want to know how much you need, it's 200,000 yen or so for 1 month.

Okinawa is NOT a cheap place to live so you need to take A LOT. I'm talking close to $10,000 to get started. Do you have a job? Where are you going to live when you get there? Food is expensive. Be prepared!! I'm jealous if you do it:) Good luck!

I want to know how to make good money in Japan. What kind of jobs other than teaching English could I do? Any jobs that are computer related? Jobs that need a degree in computer science, computer graphic design, or computer programming?

There are many IT jobs advertised in Japan, but considering the large number of IT professionals coming here from India, the salaries are not spectacular. You should check the various job listings at the Japan Times (newspaper) and on Gaijinpot (website) and see what kind of credentials and experience bring the best salaries.

There are as many computer related jobs in Japan as in US, like programmer and so on. But you can't have those jobs so easily as jobs in Japan are mainly for Japanese people. You need a visa to work in Japan. And you can't get it just because you majored in computer science.
