How much more money would I make if I learned a foreign language or 2?

How much more money would I make if I learned a foreign language or 2?
I can Speak, Write, and Read in both English and Spanish perfectly well. However, I have been very interested in learning a foreign language. I am currently studying Japanese, I have just completed my Japanese 101 class not too long ago in college, and I look forward to be able to go to Japan and speak to people there. I hope in 6 years that I can be fluent just like a normal everyday Japanese person....I have also been interested in learning Mandarin Chinese and Korean, but maybe I shouldn't get into it that much....I do however hope to also learn how to read and write Traditional Chinese..... my question is...how much more money will someone make if he/she speaks 2 or more languages? what about 3? 4? It's okay even an estimate is fine.... what is an estimate?

depends on the jobs he/she is after. no one can say just like this but learning languages sure is good for your career
2 :
I can speak German. But work in the oil fields. Lot of good speaking German did me!!
3 :
There are some jobs that require a specific language ability, but the way you have to approach it is that in many cases knowing foreign languages will get you a job over someone who only knows one. SO it becomes job versus no job and that's hard to put a monetary value on.

you are wrong , japanese is so difficult , even you studied 10 years your japanese level is less than a kindergarden japanese kid , you should know ,only super man can get his level within 6 years as for the money it depends on your career and status and university

Why is Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix only in Japan?

Why is Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix only in Japan?
Doesn't the creator know that if the game was translated to English and then came over to America, he would make a lot of money? I don't think it's fair that only Japan gets it. Why doesn't it come to America?

video game, electronics, automobiles

a lot of american and british go over to japan and china to teach english
3 :
It depends on your degree, but the most common jobs over here are teaching English and editing English manuals and other material.
4 :
because most Japanese and Chinese can't speak English, you either will not get the job there easily or you have to learn the language. of course, if your company send you to either one of the country, you surly should choose China, since the cost of living is much lower, your money can give you the finest lifestyle, such as a maid at home, effordable body and food massage daily.

Someone has already suggested I.T or gaming related stuff, animation.... I know that the GHOST RECON stuff was mostly done in China by U.S nationals teamed up with the Chinese... Ofcourse there's always teaching English... Perhaps you should re-write your question specific to the qualifications you have...? Hmmm... I know there's a lot of money to be made in hostessing too (and that's not with 'other favours' - just 'friendly' bar work)... So you could really go anywhere from here!!! ;)

Yeah, it would be helpful to know your qualifications - for example, without at least a Bachelor's degree, you can't work in either of these countries legally, which means you'd be working for dodgy operations if you could get a job at all, and spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars every couple of months on visa runs! The best paying jobs involve getting hired at home and then being sent abroad -- you'll get your usual salary, plus 'hardship pay', plus lots of extras like housing, cars, maids, etc. Uncle Sam has decided to start taxing all these things, so not as cush as it used to be. Under that - working as a diplomat. Under that - English teaching, freelance photography, writing, DJ, hostess, etc -- you're probably gonna top out at a thousand US a month, unless you really know what you're doing or can learn really fast. You'd be burning through cash fast in Japan, but could survive on a thou a month in China. There are millions of people in China that can speak pretty decent English and are happy to work for 500 US dollars a month or less -- top-notch engineers that can speak 2 languages fluently might make a bit more than a grand a month -- I guess what I'm saying is you've really got to bring something to the table if you expect to make dough -- at home or abroad. However, it's relatively easy to make enough to pay the rent and buy rice - and lots of Americans are doing that; using the low costs here to follow a dream of some kind - music, writing, art, etc. Just don't expect to put much - or any - cash in the savings account.

if you work with the JET programme, you can get some decent money. but otherwise, teaching english in Japan may not get you far. other options would be IT, medicine, local government, or else other english teaching related work, such as making textbooks.

The world wide opening date of Sivaji the Boss is 6/15, that is, except for Japan. That info was here: http://www.rajini.jp/ I also checked theaters, and message boards, but there is no news of where it is, or even if it is opening in Japan at all. Sorry.

It is a tamil language film. Unfortunately this film won't be released in Japan. You won't be able to find any detail of this film in any theater in Japan.

It later appeared that another song sequence was set to be held in Japan, as Rajinikanth had a huge fan following there, but the idea eventually did not happen.[65] Various stages of filming carried on throughout the end of the year. In January, 2007, Sify.com interviewed Shriya Saran, who revealed her role was called Tamizh and she appeared in punjabis and traditional Indian clothing throughout the film.[66] During the post-production, the dubbing of voices took place and as Shriya Saran was not a natural Tamil speaker, a dubbing artiste was to be selected. Shankar first zeroed in on Sandhya,[67] another popular actress who was introduced under Shankar's production to dub for the lead female role however she was soon replaced by another actress, Kanika Subramaniam, who at the time was offer-less.[68] A popular film distributor, Subbu Arunachalam dubbed for Suman's character.[69] Recently as of March 2007, sources revealed that Rajinikanth for a song sequences dressed up as the thespians of Tamil cinema, M. G. Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan, while for the simultaneous Telugu language dubbed version he dressed up as Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and Chiranjeevi.[70].
