if career as musician is really hard to make money, then why so many people still want to be a musician?

if career as musician is really hard to make money, then why so many people still want to be a musician?
I've just talked with a friend of mine, he had just started to pursue a Solo carer , because he loves music very much, just like me, but unfortunately, and rather sadly, just this afternoon, he poured all his heart that , as I quoted from him, "being musician in indonesia is just f*ckin hard & doesn't make sense! it's just so dirty often, and hard to get recognized, and with piracy running rampant, greedy labels, very low purchasing-power from still-poor people in the mainstream, etc etc" , and he's even thinking of just concentrating in the business-aspect , not the artistic-side anymore in the music "industry". He's planning to just start a label & draw new artists,....instead of following his TRUE passion to become a full-time musician! so then, i start asking myself this: if career as musician is really hard to make money, then why so many people still want to be a musician ?? why? what do you think? do you think these people (musicians) are probably just 'naive' people who don't know that it's a cruel cruel world in a music, no, actually, music-business world. 'cuz often there're more to it than only making good & creative tunes. this i've unfortunately & pitifully learned at least in my corrupt country, Indonesia, where sadly, music is just another corrupt tool. and that's why no wonder a lot of musicians/bands are just poor, & even some really great/talented ones is lacking so much appreciations from mainstream people, instead, many people generally only prefer for 'stupid' songs/music as long with good looks, and many other artificial/fake things! and i'm sure the situation is no different even in advanced countries like U.S, Europe, Japan, etc. many people are just plain stupid, don't understand 'good music' from 'bad music' , and most big-players in the so-called "music-business" are all crooked and greedy, all they think is only money, not enhancing/supporting their artists/bands!! with all of these sad things above, i've recently often wondered & kept wondering, is there still any point for any person, no matter how talented or even multi-talented or passionate he/she is at music, to pursue career as a musician (and espcially, FULL-time musician) ? are they just out of their mind? but the Reality seems to speak differently: there are surprisingly an increasing amount of musicians (ie: bands, usually "indie" bands)! why is this? what is the reasons for they kept wanting to be a musician?

Some people think musicians are dumb, and are just doing it because they couldn't succeed anywhere else. Not true. Musicians know what they're getting themselves into because it's tough from the very beginning. If they couldn't deal with it, they'd stop before they even finished writing their first song, so you know any musician who's made it big has pushed through a lot. It takes a long time to be able to pay for your life as a musician. Just because a band or an artist got a record deal does not mean they're rich. Musicians go into the music industry well aware of the risks, because it's what they love. They have a lot of passion and powerful ideas and want to share their work with the public. They searching for a connection, someone who can tell them they feel the same. And they love performing. It's all for the love of the craft. Ask any artist of any variety, and they'll all tell you life as an artist isn't easy. Not all musicians are looking for money. They know that's not always guaranteed. They just want to pursue what they love.

How do I make money with a blog that gets 20+ views a day?

How do I make money with a blog that gets 20+ views a day?
My blog is starting to get 20+ views a day...Mostly from Japan and South Korea. It's an anime, video game, and computers/internet blog on Blogger and contains a little bit of adult content. I'm wondering what would be the best ways to make money off of it since I probably can't use AdSense due to the adult content...I already have an affiliate ad from a video game site that I made one sale with. The point is that my blog is growing in popularity and I want to start monetizing now...Even if I'll only be making pennies at first.

Try online surveys. Some you can do if you're over 14. Check out the one below I think yfou can join as long as your over 14. Dont forget to work out a budget for yourself so you can at least save some of that money for a large purchase ie car, holiday etc. I recommend the Budget Planner software from the site below - it's fast and easy to use and its FREE!

Make babysitting flyers using the computer and put them in the library, people's mailboxes, and grocery stores. Drum up more business and keep a notebook to schedule when you do get a customer. Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit. I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long. Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring. What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at. Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants. Check out my blog. it has tons of money making ideas, saving tips, ways to score freebies , and discounts. the link is under my profile. You can create a blog too. You can generate money just ranting about your interests.

Try to see if you can get a waitressing job. The tips are great during the summer since you can work full time. For job searching don't rely too much on online sites. It's better to check the newspaper or actually go in to a place that looks like they need help. Are any of your friends artistic? Selling art online is also a great way to make cash.

If you're looking for a get-rich-quick business on-line then you're in for a surprise. Most sites that say that you can make money only make money off of you. The best way is to start an on-line business yourself but that takes work. You'll need to go to the small business administration and have a sit down with someone (it's free). They can help you write up a business plan if you need a loan from the bank. Choose items that you can sell on-line that are in high demand but don't cost too much. Get a seller's permit (it's usually free) and a fictitious business name filed (I paid $65.00). You'll probably have to put an add in the paper to announce your fictious name depending on your states laws (I paid another $65.00). Get a web domain from a site that doesn't charge you final value fees only monthly dues like godaddy.com or homestead.com (monthly it's only $25.00). With homestead you can accept credit cards and debit cards without a merchant account since you it accepts paypal payments and the customers don't even have to have a paypal account. You can even choose to have the payments in the form of money order or checks and have the customers mail them to you. With homestead making your website is easy (it took me two days to create and open my web-store). Then all you have to do is advertise your site. Google ad-words charges per click but you can set up an amount of dollars per day or month that you want to spend. Yahoo yellow pages let's you add your site address for free and even let's you make coupons for free that your customers can redeem at your site. Having a business is never easy and most people work very hard to make a lot of money on the internet. There are no get-rich-quick sites that don't involve work and money.

I use this site: http://zlio.com/?r=162139 Basically, you open an online shop (its free). All you have to do is set up your shop, which takes about 10 minutes, then you promote it. There's no ongoing costs and they pay into your paypal account.

The site I use pays you money for blogging, updating your profile, looking at pictures, and all your social interaction. It's just like MySpace and Facebook, only you get paid for using it. Here's the link if you want to give it a try: http://r.yuwie.com/eyesofantasy

I saw this video that shows how to make money doing field inspections. Something like a few hundred a day if you know what you are doing. Now, I cannot vouch for it, but is seems like a legit way to make money. Definitely not a get rich quick scheme but rather a long term income opportunity. check this website out. it pays when you open an advertisment. it pays more if you refer your friends here. although it's not a lot of money, over time, you'll have some extra pocket money to use. furthermore, it takes up max 5 min of your time daily.
