Good tips to save money if I'm going to japan in 5 yrs?

Good tips to save money if I'm going to japan in 5 yrs?
I am 12 years old. I wish to go to Japan right after getting out from high school. When I return, it will be about a year later, and then I will go to college. My age will be 17 by the time I graduate high school, as my birthday is after december. I plan on going to college after returning to America, but I am unsure about how I can do that because I need a scholarship. I will go to Japan because I am going to make my own manga, and as most people know...America isn't very familiarized with anime or manga yet. So I am going to Japan to learn their culture, how to write Japanese, and speak it of course o_o..But I need to know how to save up money until then and I was wondering if I should take any classes in college that will enhance my drawing skills...because I want to be a teacher for elementary school as a back up just in case my manga is unsuccessful..Please don't say you have 5 years don't worry about it now because if I don't then I'll worry :|

make a piggy bank where you put in only 1 or 2 dollars in, dont take any money out for the whole time your saving and you could proabbly have about $300 !

aw your cute. i remember when i was 12 and wanted to go to japan when i got out of school ^_^. lol i just went early this year though. lol. but tips on saving money? if your going on your own (or paying for your own trip) then i ticket to japan will cost atleast $1000 +. then to have fun there you should take atleast another 2 or 3 thousand. i know it sounds like alot but its really not if you think about :). just save as much money as you can and maybe ask your neighbors if they have any jobs they can give you. (or you could ask your parents) but lets not forget that when you turn 16, your able to get a job. so if you work your butt off doing that, then you should get the money you need with in a year or so (but that also depends on what kinda job you get, if you parents make you pay bills, gas money etc.) i recommend the mall. i know it sounds kinda childish to work there but i have friends that work in some store in the mall and they get 10 bucks an hour which is PERFECT is its just you (a.k.a no kids or a family to take care of lol) so if you work 5 hours you'll get 50 bucks. and 50x five days a week=$250 bucks right? 250 dollars each week. by the end of the month (which normally last 3 weeks) you should have 750 dollars. see how easy that was? i mean you have taxes and stuff but thats still pretty good. if you want money like NOW though, try setting up your own website or something and sell baked goods (cookies, cakes etc) i know a girl that did that and she made some pretty good money. if you want you can email me and i'll give you some good home made recipes (because nobody wants to buy something you can get right out of the box lol)

Interesting idea. My advice to you will be don't obsess with this and finish your studies. When you are old enough you can work, save some money and then visit Japan.

this sounds like me!!! but im 14 :) well they have things online to help drawing that's how i draw sooo awesome like lol (my skills kill) but i don't think you could save as much ass you want well bet a bank account lol get you parents to help you save so you wont be tempted to spend it and when you get a job when your older put pieces of your paycheck into it but not ot much of it about 20-50$ of it and then you'll be there n a minute :)
