Can I access my BOA online account and make any transaction in Japan?
I'll be in Japan for a couple of years and need to be able to access my Bank of America account to pay bills, transfer money to my daughter, etc. Does anyone know about it? Or, do I have to open Citibank account?

The internet is great, I could do everything I could do like I was in America. I used my checkcard in Australia and Canada and never got extorted by my bank, National City. The exchange rate was brutally fair. I never had a problem.

Muri Yes, if you can connect on line you will be good to go. I do know someone who sailed around the world, and took car of his bills off his sailboat using satcom conection to BofA online. It is a great on line system! Soccerref
