Should I donate money to Japan?
During times of crisis, I try to donate some money. Keep in mind I DONT have a job but I want to help regardless if somebody needs my help. Does Japan have enough funds to battle this crisis or should I donate some money? Japan looks like a rich country so it's making me hesitate to donate considering the people of Haiti probably needed it a lot more

raise awareness is probably the best way you can help at this very second use your facebook, twitter, or any social networking device... I think Japan with the help of the world can get past this crisis but theres somethings you can't restore. Like the lives of thousands of people either missing or dead

It doesn't matter if the country appears to be wealthier, the people are still suffering. And Japan us actually in a great deal of debt right now just like us. They're not any better off than, say, the people of New Orleans right after Hurricane Katrina hit. Also, money is not the only thing you can donate. There is a variety of things you can send if you're short on money, you just have to ne creative. On top of everything else, I realize unemployment is tough, but the people in Japan are much worse off than yourself at the moment.

Donate. It doesn't even have to be that much. It may not seem like donating a few dollars will make a difference, but it will. Imagine if everyone just donated a few dollars. Lots of people will be donating money, they need it more than you do. These people have lost their families, their homes, everything. Even if Japan looks rich, they'll be spending TONS of money getting it back to the way it was and helping all those people who need the help. Please, just donate a few dollars. Maybe you could collect money from friends, family, and neighbors for a donation. Please donate.

How can i make money fast?
How can i make money fast?
Im trying to raise money to go to Japan... I know IT'S A LOT OF MONEY!!! But im only 13 and i really want to try to go. I have a pet sitting job, and i only work for two people. and one of them has stopped going to their location for a while, so im not working for them right now, and the other person barely goes on vacation. Are there any good ideas on how i can raise money for this? Btw, I live in Arizona. So please give me USEFUL information, and not just "oh thats nearly impossible, its to much work, your too young" blah blah blah. haha.. Thank You!!! P.S. Im trying to go next year, if that cant work for me then two years (2011) and i need around 5,000 dollars. Konichiwa, Maybe you could make something and sell it? Where do you want to stay in Japan? Maybe you could find a Japanese family to live with through a reputable organization or a church. Ask you Japanese teacher, he/she may have some ideas. Don't listen to people who tell you that's nearly impossible.

Make babysitting flyers using the computer and put them in the library, people's mailboxes, and grocery stores. Drum up more business and keep a notebook to schedule when you do get a customer. Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit. I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long. Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring. What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at. Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants. The US keeps troops and a Fleet near Japan to keep the Evil Chinese away from the nation, is it time for the US to leave Japan...They make a lot of money because they dont defend themselves and they make Anime shows saying they defend the world. So should The US take their troops from Japan?

if career as musician is really hard to make money, then why so many people still want to be a musician?
if career as musician is really hard to make money, then why so many people still want to be a musician?
I've just talked with a friend of mine, he had just started to pursue a Solo carer , because he loves music very much, just like me, but unfortunately, and rather sadly, just this afternoon, he poured all his heart that , as I quoted from him, "being musician in indonesia is just f*ckin hard & doesn't make sense! it's just so dirty often, and hard to get recognized, and with piracy running rampant, greedy labels, very low purchasing-power from still-poor people in the mainstream, etc etc" , and he's even thinking of just concentrating in the business-aspect , not the artistic-side anymore in the music "industry". He's planning to just start a label & draw new artists,....instead of following his TRUE passion to become a full-time musician! so then, i start asking myself this: if career as musician is really hard to make money, then why so many people still want to be a musician ?? why? what do you think? do you think these people (musicians) are probably just 'naive' people who don't know that it's a cruel cruel world in a music, no, actually, music-business world. 'cuz often there're more to it than only making good & creative tunes. this i've unfortunately & pitifully learned at least in my corrupt country, Indonesia, where sadly, music is just another corrupt tool. and that's why no wonder a lot of musicians/bands are just poor, & even some really great/talented ones is lacking so much appreciations from mainstream people, instead, many people generally only prefer for 'stupid' songs/music as long with good looks, and many other artificial/fake things! and i'm sure the situation is no different even in advanced countries like U.S, Europe, Japan, etc. blatantly-and-honestly speaking, many people are just plain stupid, don't understand 'good music' from 'bad music' , and most big-players in the so-called "music-business" are all crooked and greedy, all they think is only money, not enhancing/supporting their artists/bands!! and plus, there're just soo many, and damn many competitions in this arena, it's like every week, there are like ten or even twenty bands being born (or more??) ! with all of these sad things above, i've recently often wondered & kept wondering, is there still any point for any person, no matter how talented or even multi-talented or passionate he/she is at music, to pursue career as a musician (and espcially, FULL-time musician) ? are they just out of their mind? but the Reality seems to speak differently: there are surprisingly an increasing amount of musicians (ie: bands, usually "indie" bands)! why is this? what is the reasons for they kept wanting to be a musician?

I have talked to my parents and my private music teacher about this and they do support me on the idea that I should become a musician, but they also reminded me that I should have another major in college, like business, and put music as my 2nd choice (something like that). But when I'm asked to what career I want, I still firmly say "musician" because I want to perform music to people to listen and enjoy. Because no matter how ugly or untalented you are, you will get laid as often as you like. It really is that simple. Anyone that says they're in it for "artistic integrity", etc., is full of shit.

It's a Dream. Some people work really hard at it. Some just get lucky and get discovered. You don't have to be famous to be a musician. I rock out by myself at home and find that completely satisfying. If your friend loves music then he should keep playing it and not worry so much about getting rich and famous.

I've known people like that. If they couldn't deal with it, they'd stop before they even finished writing their first song, so you know any musician who's made it big has pushed through a lot. It takes a long time to be able to pay for your life as a musician. Just because a band or an artist got a record deal does not mean they're rich. Musicians go into the music industry well aware of the risks, because it's what they love. They have a lot of passion and powerful ideas and want to share their work with the public. They searching for a connection, someone who can tell them they feel the same. And they love performing. It's all for the love of the craft. Ask any artist of any variety, and they'll all tell you life as an artist isn't easy. Not all musicians are looking for money. They know that's not always guaranteed. They just want to pursue what they love.
I've just talked with a friend of mine, he had just started to pursue a Solo carer , because he loves music very much, just like me, but unfortunately, and rather sadly, just this afternoon, he poured all his heart that , as I quoted from him, "being musician in indonesia is just f*ckin hard & doesn't make sense! it's just so dirty often, and hard to get recognized, and with piracy running rampant, greedy labels, very low purchasing-power from still-poor people in the mainstream, etc etc" , and he's even thinking of just concentrating in the business-aspect , not the artistic-side anymore in the music "industry". He's planning to just start a label & draw new artists,....instead of following his TRUE passion to become a full-time musician! so then, i start asking myself this: if career as musician is really hard to make money, then why so many people still want to be a musician ?? why? what do you think? do you think these people (musicians) are probably just 'naive' people who don't know that it's a cruel cruel world in a music, no, actually, music-business world. 'cuz often there're more to it than only making good & creative tunes. this i've unfortunately & pitifully learned at least in my corrupt country, Indonesia, where sadly, music is just another corrupt tool. and that's why no wonder a lot of musicians/bands are just poor, & even some really great/talented ones is lacking so much appreciations from mainstream people, instead, many people generally only prefer for 'stupid' songs/music as long with good looks, and many other artificial/fake things! and i'm sure the situation is no different even in advanced countries like U.S, Europe, Japan, etc. many people are just plain stupid, don't understand 'good music' from 'bad music' , and most big-players in the so-called "music-business" are all crooked and greedy, all they think is only money, not enhancing/supporting their artists/bands!! with all of these sad things above, i've recently often wondered & kept wondering, is there still any point for any person, no matter how talented or even multi-talented or passionate he/she is at music, to pursue career as a musician (and espcially, FULL-time musician) ? are they just out of their mind? but the Reality seems to speak differently: there are surprisingly an increasing amount of musicians (ie: bands, usually "indie" bands)! why is this? what is the reasons for they kept wanting to be a musician?

im not reading all that but basically, cause they enjoy it id rather work a job i enjoy getting paid less, than a job i HATE but get paid more

Some people think musicians are dumb, and are just doing it because they couldn't succeed anywhere else. Not true. Musicians know what they're getting themselves into because it's tough from the very beginning.
